DESCRIPTION:
Delivering a ground-breaking interactive shop-front at the Ralph Lauren flagship store on fifth avenue in New York city, the holographic display exhibited five different vignettes of athletes in action representing polo sport’s core qualities of strength, speed, movement, and of course, style.
Presented in a combination of differing visual effects, the athletes performed various workout routines; from jumping rope in the new Polotech shirt, to the ‘bullet-time’ panorama of two boxers sparring.
DETAIL:
I was in New York for the initial meetings with the Ralph Lauren team which later followed with site visits for reference images and drawings back in London.
We then moved to quick scaled store-front models and editing content for the final installation.
Through meticulous planning, the holographic experience created the illusion of an increased depth to the otherwise narrow display. Combining digital lighting points and LED video screens, the ‘reflected depth’ holograph effect appears luminous and convincingly realistic.
