DESCRIPTION:

Giles Miller Studio was asked to create a mural for the foyer of International House.

A subtle yet complex aesthetic inspired by its surroundings and location at St Katherines Dock we decided to manipulate the light and materials with Giles Miller’s signature style, which would lead to space-defining surfaces and character of water droplets.

DETAIL:

A corrugated panel system which showcases the pure aesthetic of an arresting static form subtly but textually intricate a ‘flow’ of tone and shadow.

Time was spent jigging up and layering and glueing each piece until a matrix of panels were ready for installation.

A fragile and complicated piece to build and install but looked spectacular in situ.
