DESCRIPTION:
We created a surface artwork that acted as backdrop to the foyer of Aldermary House, in a way that enriched its surroundings through light and shadow.
Taking control of texture using innovative design and fabrication techniques led to generating pattern and movement tailored to the client.
Timber tiles are composed and angled individually to accentuate the collective movement of the piece.
DETAIL:
The timber backdrop incorporates reflective pixilation techniques to show patterns generated within a 3D mural.
This is achieved from the fusion of technology with the handmade. I spent time laser cutting all the pieces needed out, assembling and glueing the pattern work, dry-run builds, and on-site for the final installation
