DESCRIPTION:

The brief was to produce a product at the cost of ten pounds or less, using minimal machinery or through good use of tooling is able to generate multiples quickly and cheaply.

DETAIL:

Staliglights are intentional accidents, encouraged by key words such as sober and subtle. Simply cast from expandable foam in a contemporary twist to produce cheap, unique, simple hanging lights with no fixings needed as it's a self adhesive.

Once cast, the pendant has a hole pierced down through the centre for power and a bulb is inserted into the internal void left behind at the bottom.

The light hangs on its own weight and because of the nature of the material, creating large scale and robust objects on a small budget becomes achievable.
