DESCRIPTION:
Atom vs. Super Subject is the collection of twelve multifaceted sculptural / architectural works. White abstract sculptures ranging in size from the small bust to the public monument, from the intimate to the historic.
Transforming original digital models into gleaming white curves, acute angles and high arches all of which resemble a high marble finish, finding a point between figure and abstraction, counterpoint and balance.
DETAIL:
Drawn digitally, the superimposed three-dimensional forms are cut robotically and then cast traditionally.
Some larger pieces had to be broken down into manageable parts and reinforced at the weak or narrow points.
Finally, time was spent meticulously sanding and polishing until the final flawless finish had been achieved.
